Three years ago, the mangled wreck of a man named Lono stumbled into Father Perez's church outside Durango, Mexico. What emerged from the padre's confessional was no longer one of the world's most feared killers - but he wasn't any kind of saint, either.

The newly christened Brother Lono stayed on to help Father Perez look after the church and its resident orphans, while spending nights in the local lockup when the beast within him threatened to break free.
