Whether or not Dag was truly a pioneer is beside the point - the voyage itself is a test of courage and strength greater than anything the crew has ever faced, as strange lands and beasts alike threaten both their bodies and their minds.

THE GIRL IN THE ICE is a sorrowful story of an old Icelandic fisherman who discovers the body of a young girl embedded in the ice of his lake. Obsessed with solving the mystery of her death while keeping it a secret from the patrolling Viking warriors, he soon finds himself caught in an impossible situation, accused and tried for a murder he didn't commit.
