The legend of Mata Nui dates back to when the world was new. The great spirit Mata Nui descended from the skies and walked the world, marveling at its beauty. The dark spirit Makuta, Mata Nui's evil brother, follwed him here and cast a spell over Mata Nui, putting him to sleep. Makuta claimed the world, plunging it into darkness. The great beings sent six heroes, the Toa, to Mata Nui. These mighty warriors are Gali, the Toa of Water; Tahu, the Toa of Fire; Kopaka, the Toa of Ice; Onua, the Toa of Earth; Pohatu, the Toa of Stone; and Lewa, the Toa of Air. These Heroes control six different elements and use them in their fight to defeat Makuta and reclaim Mata Nui.

This collected edition features all 15 issue of the hit series that were exclusively available to LEGO club members. It is written by Greg Farshtey with art by Carlos D'Anda and Randy Elliott; inks by Elliott and Ray Kryssing.
